Cart for a Cause A truck with rotating celebrity chefs that offers $10 lunch meals with 100% of profits going to St. Vincent's Meals on Wheels keeps us coming back at least every other week.
Great Balls on Tires Meaty moist goodness awaits in the Ballywood with its Indian dipping sauces and rice. Balligator was cajun spicy with a soothing mango salsa...Inaugural ball was reminiscent of a dim sum seafood dumpling. Ciao Balla was like an Italian meatball slider. Just wish for bigger balls!
Grilled Cheese Truck Mac 'n cheese grilled cheese sandwich...so naughty you know it's gotta be nice! Loved the fully loaded..mac 'n cheese grilled cheese with bbq pork & carmelized onions!
Dogzilla Furikake and Yakisoba hot dogs are what gastronomes' dreams are made of. The spicy snap of the dog, the sweet Hawaiian bread roll, the savory combination of seaweed, Japanese noodles, pickled ginger....well worth a trip to any festival they appear at. Please get a truck soon!!!!
World Fare Everything tastes better in a bunny! South African street food gets well deserved exposure. Drool over the bunny chow, truffle mac n cheese balls (watch the heat burn in your mouth), and gourmet desserts. Check out the view (& sometimes live DJ mixing) on top of the bustaurant.
Crepen Around Magical crepes... maple braised pork (perfect combination of savory/sweet/acidic) and the indulgent s'mores and banana nutella crepes keep us craving more.
Comfort Truck Mmmm...love the juicy jerk slider with the sweet pineapple and buns...spiciness is still dancing in my mouth! :P Amazing golden fried chicken sliders put KFC to shame...'nuff said!
Dante's Fried Chicken So grateful to be at the tasting party before this truck hit LA streets! Chicken had a crispy, spicy coating that even included seeds & oatmeal!! Tofu had the same crazy coating with the unbelievable texture of cheesy chicken. Coconut honey biscuit was dense and crusty, cucumber corn ginger string bean salad was crunchy & acidic, blueberry brisket was smoky and tender, and peach lingonberry cobbler was fresh with a snappy crust and just-right sweetness. The yam curry cheese "mac up" is addictive...why hasn't this combo been attempted before? And when can I get some again? KFC can RIP!
Ludo Fried Chicken After being the first lucky recipients of his perfectly crunchy, juicy, rosemary-flavored chicken at the LA Food Fest, we had the opportunity to enjoy these magical culinary treats again during his Akasha guest chef stint.
Fresh Fries LA Yummy crunchy fries with creative toppings...try the stinky pinky (savory), the curly fries with curry ketchup and the peanut butter cup (sweet fries...who knew!)
Calbi There are so many Korean/Mexican fusion trucks out there, but we like the marinade on their meat the best.
Coolhaus Not your ordinary ice cream sammie. Imagine 2 huge crunchy homemade cookies with a giant block of artisanal ice cream oozing out the sides (served in a cup to preserve the gushing goodness). Now go get one for yourself.
Lake Street Creamery Their kitty video alone is enough to sell me....but the pancake breakfast ice cream imparts maple bacon flavor and their donut ice cream is revolutionary....you'll swear you're eating a cake donut!
Buttermilk Truck Breakfast of champions served here all day long. Love those red velvet pancakes and the buttermilk brick (hash brown, egg, biscuit and chorizo gravy).
Border Grill Truck Peruvian ceviche cone=perfection.
Dim Sum Straight outta the San Gabriel Valley...get your tasty dumplings and buns here.
Qzilla Tasty Q worth long lines at LA Street Food Fest & a trek to Pasadena to catch the truck.
Ricky's Fish Tacos Muchas gracias Ricky for the melt-in- your-mouth fried shrimp tacos.
Fishlips Sushi A sushi master on a truck...awesome! Fish lips roll with no rice, just a soy sheet...delish!
Flying Pig What's better than pork belly on a steamed bao bun? Darned if I know!
Nana Queen's Pudding and wings and things....but can't get enough of the fluffy, creamy, dreamy puddings!
Lee's Philly Philly cheese steaks with Korean-style meat...this fusion's time has come!
Grill Master's Tender rotisserie chicken that just may be the best in LA.
Grill 'Em All Juicy gourmet burgers and double dipped truffle frites that will cure your meat and tater hankering.
Gastrobus They offer lots of daily specials...try their root beer float or farmer's market inspired dessert.
Pyongyang Express Flavorful Korean meat for extremely reasonable prices that Kim Jong Il would approve of. Too bad this truck is only temporary due to marketing for a video game.
Manila Machine A yummy pork slider--longganisang hubad (“naked” sausage)--left me craving more. Pork sausage was not greasy, and mango jam left a sweet tropical finish. Sisig plate was citrusy, juicy, chewy, and fatty porkiness. Ube cupcake was moist and delectable.
White Rabbit Truck Loved the pork sisig...spicy with crunchy bits of porcine goodness that reminded me of the Filipino treat crispy pata. Sweet chicken adobo was enhanced with the surprising addition of a fried egg. Warm comforting desserts await in the form of the rich creamy white chocolate champorado rice pudding and the creme brulee toast with thick gooey dipping sauce.

Hot Peppa Steppa Highly enjoyed the spinach and chicken patties...gobbled their crusty, spicy goodness right down!
Franken Stand Vegan franks that are scary good...find these spooky treats regularly at Madex's GuerilLA drive-in.
Derb's Gourmet Those killer shrimp and grits reminded me of the amazing cajun/creole cuisine of Harold & Belle's Restaurant. Since this truck hasn't been rolling, have to visit Shrimp Pimp truck instead for terrific shrimp.
Brazilian Taste (Ta-Bom) Coxinha is all the Portuguese you need to know.
Gourmet Genie to Go Mediterranean food at its finest and freshest.
Dough Dough's Malasada Truck Worth a trip to the Abbot Kinney Festival just to eat these Portuguese/Hawaiian donut balls fit to bursting with your choice of flavored custardy cream and rolled in a customizable coating.
KO Taco Taco de papas, blackened shrimp, and teriyaki chicken tacos score a knockout.
No Reservations Catering Luscious lamb wrap was a winner.
Organic Oasis Organic ingredients, solar powered truck, 5% profits donated to Heal the Bay...this is truly a green truck. Avo bowl was incredibly delectable, along with their egg and green chili burrito.
Mambo Truck Fresh juicy fruit made their heaping serving of bionicos a dessert delight. Stay awhile and learn to mambo from their video.
Papas Tapas Ham croquettes are ethereal!
Munchie Machine Enjoyed the grilled veggie salad (green bowl of the day), the green bird sandwich and the LA Food Fest award-winning scooby snack creation: pb & j with a s'more inside multi-grain bread! Melty deliciousness!
NY Ice Connection Yo, miss this truck with imported Italian ices from NY? Fuggedaboudit! Try the sour apple...soft, snowy texture with a luscious sour kick.

Fresser's (RIP) Amazingly lean pastrami sandwich---very sad to see them go.
Asian Soul Kitchen (RIP) Great food & concept (Asian and soul food)...a big loss.
